Acrylic solid surfaces are durable and can withstand daily wear and tear. They are resistant to scratches, heat, and impact, making them ideal for high-traffic areas. They are also non-porous, which means they do not absorb liquids, durable material that's safe for food preparation and is approved for use in commercial, medical, and school settings.
Cleaning
Use a damp cloth or sponge to wipe the surface in a circular motion. For general cleaning, you can use a mild detergent or a general cleanser like Bar Keepers Friend or baking soda. Rinse and dry with a soft cloth or paper towel.
Stains
Acrylic Solid Surface is stain-resistant, but some substances may require more aggressive cleaning. For tougher stains, you can use an all-purpose cleaner, a bleaching agent, or a scouring agent on matte finishes.
Chemicals
Avoid using acidic chemicals like acetone or methyl chloride, as they can discolor the surface. If you do get acids on the surface, rinse immediately with soapy water. You should also avoid strong chemicals like drain cleaners and oven cleaners, as they can cause permanent discoloration.
Heat
Use a trivet or similar device with soft feet under any heat-generating device.
Boiling water
When pouring boiling water into Acrylic solid surface sink bowls, run cold water at the same time.
Nail polish
Remove nail polish with a non-acetone based nail polish remover and flush with water.
Scratches
Deeper scratches can be removed by light sanding with 120-grit sandpaper, then 220- and 320-grit. Buff the surface with a wet Scotch Brite pad in a circular motion.
